Clan Banner

OK, I was bored this morning and thought I would make a banner for our site. It is basically just "Clan TDoM" in flames. I made it in about 30 minutes. I just wanted to know if people liked the idea. If I remade it, and took some time on it, it would be less blurry, and the flames would look a little better. This is just a scrap preview. I could also do a background. Post your comments. ALSO: This image was done by hand, by me. The fire was not done by some stupid program or filter...just for the record.

I love it, Soul. You did a great job, so now all you need to do is decide if you want to use the BG we had planned or make your own. It's your child site, so I'll leave it completely up to you:)

V2....I redid the whole thing. I redid the flame for the text, too. And also I added a background, which is just rendered flame.

We should look through some more templates, try to see what that matches more with the image. I really like the image itself, but it seems like it'd look odd on what we have now...perhaps you could make a good transition between the red BG and the gray site base, then expand the pic across the entire top. I bet that'd look alright, though I wish the BG was a bit more...blue

im gonna try doing a 600x200 one but imma make the text icy and make the background invis... unless u want me to design something on it

I kinda like the idea of the text being in flames though. Because, yes, the blue, icy text would match the site's common theme, but that's not exactly what I'm going for. I like the complementary theme of the text at the top being the only thing that's striking against the rest of the site.

The invis background is a good idea, but maybe make the text expand a bit more.

I am good with complimentary colors.

i can do flames too just too lazy lol

Ron, do you use The GIMP or Photoshop? If you use the GIMP, how do you make your frosty text? I just use curves and then a wind filter.
